If McCain's claim that Obama wants to curtail world trade, while McCain wants o expand global opportunities is true, why wouldn't McCain be preferred in foreign countries?

As BO and JM are running for President of the United States I'm not particularly interested. Maybe the "world" should get together and create an office for President of the World ... and see who runs for that office.

Not exactly. It's just that many conservatives do not think much of popularity contests, especially among people who aren't even Americans.
