Should Women Have The Choice To Abort In Cases Of Rape Or Incest?

  • No. I'm with Sarah Palin. Women should never have the choice to abort.
  • Yes. Women should have a choice regarding their pregnancy.

I am not terrified. If John McCain dies (which probably won't happen) she CANNOT appoint any Supreme Court Judges. She can nominate them to be confirmed in congress. There are a lot of steps after that I'm skipping, but if we take this all the way out and Roe vs. Wade were to be overturned (which I really doubt will ever happen), abortion would still be legal. The only thing Roe vs. Wade did was take the decision about abortion away from the states and put it in the hands of the federal government. So, the decision would go back to the individual states. Since about 60% of the people in this country are pro-choice I think it is a pretty safe bet that state legislators are not going to go against their constituents on this. The closer an issue gets to home the more politicians listen because they will be held accountable. I really can't see much changing. I think it was a very important issue 30, even 20 years ago, but lately I think both sides use it to scare people into voting a certain way.

I don't know. This is an all or nothing issue for a tremendous number of people. When you have a lot of committed people working the issue, anything can happen. Never assume that your freedom(s) and rights

I gather that's 60% overall, and not in each individual state?

I voted yes, but I do not think it is any of your business, our government's business or anyone's business but the woman and man involved. It should be a health issue and not a political one.

Here men have a say, but not the final say.

As a woman, I can't imagine if someone else could abort (ie. kill) my baby, and I had no say. Heartbreaking!
