MSNBC *IS* biased! Only a person so blinded by ideology would actually think that MSNBC doesn't support Obama and doesn't lean to the left.

If MSNBC is biased, then so is FOX.

"Michael Savage is the most hateful and vile person I have ever heard. "

Yup, like a lot of others on the right. And he's peddling hate and lies.

If the Democrats had screwed up as badly as the Republicans have screwed up since their pompous broken contract with America and Bush's 8 year term, the Republicans would be calling Rush, Savage and their ilk Messiah's, because they would be hateful but truthful, instead of hateful and full of lies.

"It's hard to believe that you can't see that KO is full of hate, I can't think of any other reason for the twisted vile he spews."

Because what he is saying is reality. Many Republicans choose to exile the thought.

"Actually, as an educated woman, I am offended by his choice of a running mate."

I don't blame you. McCain thinks any Hillary voter who would switch allegiances over Palin is stupid, stupid because Palin stands for the opposite of just about everything Hillary stands for. Stupid because the worst thing Hillary voters could do to Hillary's chances and the Presidency, not to mention her legacy and America, is to vote for McCain because of Palin. That said, I understand there still may be a lot of frustration. It was a hard fought battle. Obama will make good. He already has shown good faith in spotlighting the Clintons at the convention. He will continue to do so. McCain, on the other hand, . . ..

Except, of course, McCain said he knew how to catch Bin Laden.

You won't explain it because you can't.

"I know how to do it and I'll do it"

I love how Olbermann gets attacked for pointing out McCain said this. It's the unreality of the right wing today.

As a New Yorker, I feel like giving Keith Olbermann a standing ovation for the first half of that commentary. And yes, he gets a little wound up when he gets onto the "if you know where bin Laden is, you should be going for him" -- perhaps inappropriately so for an anchor. But you know, it is refreshing to have someone lay their cards on the table. There is no such thing as truly neutral reporting. Yes, one can promise to be "fair and balanced" and of course, some news outlets are more fair and more balanced (and produce more well-reported and better-researched pieces than others) but there will always be a quote that must be trimmed, a soundbyte to clip, a headline that will only allow so many characters, and even if space were never a factor, there will always be the question of what you lead with. But I think the trouble comes in when people are so insidious with their bias that it is not immediately apparent, yet it leaks into every aspect of their reporting. So I appreciate someone willing to lay his cards out on the table.

Olbermann's commentary was passionate and yes, even ranting, but I do not think it was hateful -- that Bill Moyers piece does an excellent job of showing the kind of truly upsetting things that right wing talk radio hosts spew.
