Palin Precedence Dangerous

Does anyone else feel Palin is setting a dangerous precedence for mothers.
I already feel my boss's expectations of me have changed since Palins story has become huge news. I fear Palins example of working right up until birth and returning 3 days after birth is a huge step back for womens maternity leave issues. How fortunate for her that she is her own boss, no ones going to tell her not to bring the baby to work, but most women don't enjoy that luxury.
In March I will delivery a baby, and I don't plan on returning to work for at least 6 weeks. How will women be judged in the future when they make this choice instead of returning days after birth?

Sarah Palin through her daughter under the bus?
I don't think she is setting a precedant at all.
This whole situation is different from a usual teen pregnancy.
No, it's not my opinion, back when this first came out I spent a lot of time on the internet finding articles with Obama's own words in them which showed that he did contradict himself and lie in this situation.
I don't see the comparison with Palin's husband and Obama's Rev.
You could if you wanted to.
>>Sarah Palin through her daughter under the bus? Do you think that this was going to stay a secret? <<
Most certainly the kids at her school would have figured it (sounded like they had already) but "Governor of Alaska's Daughter Pregnant" is not international news. For better or worse, "VP Candidate's Daughter Pregnant" IS, especially when her campaign puts it out there. I'm saying in taking the job offer, she basically said "Sorry, honey, but my career is more important than shielding you from media scrutiny."
People called Lynn Spears a terrible mother for selling Jamie Lynn's story to OK! but Jamie Lynn at least was already a tabloid staple with her own tv show. Her profession is being famous and many thought it was tacky to just put her out there in the spotlight. Why do we have different standards for our future VP?
>>Just like Obama did with his drug abuse. <<
Obama was sharing his own story (perhaps with embellishments) in his memoir many years after the fact. That is NOT the same thing.
