"Former Rhode Island Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee has called vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin a "cocky wacko" and said her selection as John McCain's running mate has energized supporters of Democrat Barack Obama."

Thank goodness someone in the Republican Party had the guts to call it like it is. I predict this Palin myth will start wearing thin over the next few weeks. Want someone who is much more likely to start another needless war, this time with Russia no less? Vote McCain/Palin. At his age there's a good shot you'll get President Palin.

Thanks for your answers. Get some rest.

When you feel up to it, can you tell me what is important to you with respect to foreign policy? I'd like it if you could refrain from using the specific policy positions of either candidate, for a moment. Use anything that's come before, from George Washington to George Bush - or any thinker or political philosopher - or your own ideas, to tell me what sort of foreign policy you favor in today's world.

My personal take on foreign policy right now is that we should be attempting to rebuild old alliances, such as with the nations of Europe and to some degree elsewhere, which have been strained by the Iraq war. Given the fact that terrorism is becoming more technologically adept and more mobile, and that the challenges of distributing resources on a planet where the population keeps increasing but the resources don't, I think it's critical to establish rapid-response, cross-country methods for sharing information and threat-assessment, as well as leveraging the resources of more than just one's own country to be able to solve problems. That should be enough to start with, for now.

Actually the McCain campaign pulled in 7 million right after the announcement. But it's heartening to know that she scared the Dems so much that their knee-jerk reaction was to send their nickles and dimes to Obama...he's going to need it. While he's out there shucking for pennies McCain and Palin will be taking their message to the people.

LOL, you think so? Well, guess what, we threw a lot of money away in Iraq. Billions, what did we get? Soldiers maimed for life, and 4,000 came home in flag draped coffins, YA want some MORE?

No Palin did not know what the Bush Doctrine was or else she could have answered it the first time rather than trying to play the stall tactic.

Is that akin to democrats who actually believed in a strong defense, like the late Scoop Jackson? Or Jack Kennedy for that matter?

7 million?

You have a link which shows them pulling in seven million in the 24 hours after the speech, the period in which Obama pulled in 8 million?
