What can a candidate do to earn your vote?

The election is just around the corner. While some have already made up their minds, what do you traditionally look for in a candidate? Whether at the national or local level, what can a candidate do to earn your vote?

Get out of IRAQ! Stop funding other country's and worry about US! Why are they just now realizing that we are in a mess?? Its been pretty obvious for a year now! More tax Rebate checks,Bigger ones, think of the little guys here for a change!

Remember that he works for US, not himself. I'm so tired of candidates who say they are in the race for our betterment and then suffer a form of moral amnesia once they're in office. (Did ya hear that, Mr. Clinton??)
