Actually if Bush had concentrated the troops in Afghanistan in the first place instead of a diversion into Iraq, we would have Bin Laden by now and we would not be facing these problems now.

Yes, you are right! Bush was told from the get-go. The Conservatives make all the excuses in the world for Bush. Bush's first and foremost interest was trying to find a way to attack Iraq. That is a known fact that the Conservatives want to sweep under the rug.

"Bush was told from the get-go. The Conservatives make all the excuses in the world for Bush. Bush's first and foremost interest was trying to find a way to attack Iraq. That is a known fact that the Conservatives want to sweep under the rug."

You are absolutely right. When the Bush team came in everyone told them al Qaeda was the number one threat to our national security. And everyone on the Bush team focused right in . . . on the frolic and detour that is Iraq.

Why are we there again? The Republicans can't tell you. No one knows why the Republicans thought it was a good idea to take out the counterweight to Iran, which is now a dominant player in the Middle East.

It was terrible judgment to focus on Iraq and not al Qaeda. Terrible judgment that Bush and McCain continue through this day.
