it's not just McCain's ads that he believes over the top. let's make sure if we want to report a story we report it in it's full context:

This is a significant admission against interest by Republican sleezoid political operative numero uno. This quote explains it:

""In case anyone was still wondering whether John McCain is running the sleaziest, most dishonest campaign in history, today Karl Rove -- the man who held the previous record -- said McCain's ads have gone too far," said campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor, in a statement sent to reporters minutes after Rove's on-air comments. Rove masterminded both of President Bush's successful White House bids."

I don't buy it. He probably has an ulterior motive for saying this. :)

I don't buy it either. No one tops Rove when measuring the sleeze factor. I'm sure he's the one responsible for picking Palin, too, no matter what he or anyone else says. Geez....just take a look at the creep!

I agree with the last few comments: Karl "turdblossom" outraged? the only reason he is outraged is cause he used racism and swiftboating in 02 to help sink McCain. Ever since W kicked his sleazy butt out, he has been tryin to reinvent himself as the voice of reason, the "architect".

Long ago the late, great governor Ann Richards named Rove prefectly: "the manure master". I have watched Rove for years as he got his start here

"But, hey, facts don't count, just how low you can go and still make the other guy look worse.

In that case, McCain's definitely been ahead lately.

Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling Begging
