For those of you who didnt see the SNL opener with Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin this weekend, it was HILARIOUS...

I posted it here:

One thing though...do you think they are being equally "fair" to both sides?

They portrayed the truth with satire. They showed Hillary to be the person of the two candidates who would be truly qualified to be president and Palin for what she is, a person chosen solely to try to get women to vote for McCain. One is smart and well-versed on the issues, while the other is window dressing. Hopefully, the voters will soon begin to understand what is real and what is perception.

What does "fair" have to do with anything?

In fact, that's WHY it's funny - because people can recognize the underlying truths of it. Hillary Clinton has been beaten up-on in the media since mid-1992, and it literally has not stopped, from some quarters. And it's not "questioning her record" or "disagreeing with her on policy," it's been one unceasing barrage of slime, half-truths, irrelevant personal attacks and outright lies for sixteen freaking years. The best lines in that sketch were where Fey as Palin starts off "don't call us names like 'pretty', 'attractive' (forget the rest, paraphrasing) and the Hillary character chimes in with 'harpy' and 'boner-shrinker,' which is literally the tone of much of the stuff that's been said about Clinton. I found it grimly hilarious, myself - just as I find the hypocritical whining about "sexism" from the Palin/McCain campaign lately. Lady, you can't legitimately claim to be a "pit bull" if you're crying "heeyyyyy, no faiiiiirr" out of the other side of your mouth - or having your paid flacks do it for you.

Bottle stands as empty

As it was full before

Time there was, and plenty

But from that cup, no more

Though I could not caution all

I still may warn a few

Don't raise your hand to raise no flag

Atop no ship of fools.

Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling Begging

So you're saying she's more of a.....sort of....prairie dog....than a pit bull?

I think they end up making the Rep. Palin out to be funny and beloved, and the Dem. Clinton out to be funny and ridiculed. I think it ends up reflecting on the parties, and the Democrats get the worst of it.

Classic SNL. lol. In reality, I could not have taken the two of them at the same time for more than 6 minutes. lol.

((“In spite of what you see, that’s not what the American people are saying and what they are believing,” she said.>>>
))

Both John and Cindy are out of touch! The American people want the truth. And McCain compromised too much on it. That's no way to run a campaign.
