McCain and Palin are two mavericks, according to the latest television ads. They have fought the Republican party on issue after issue, right? So, how the hell did they get the nomination? I mean McCain is a life-long Republican. He has been in Washington for over 25 years. Why have they not kicked him out of the party if he is so much against the Republican Party? How did he ever get the nomiation from the party most responsible for the mess in Washington now?
The fact of the matter is that he talks a good fight, but in reality he usually sides with his buddy George W. Bush. Whether it be about Iraq, the economy, health care, education, etc, etc., etc.
You cannot vote with Bush on every major issue, yet still be against those issues, unless there is something mentally wrong with you. Split personality or some such thing.
The fact is that McCain is not a mvaerick. He just believes that if he says he is a maverick all the time that the average person will believe his BS.
It is an old politican idea that perception is reality. If You can get someone to perceive that something is true, it will eventually become accepted as truth.
Just for the record, Iraq has no plans to get us out of Iraq, he wants Phil Gramm to advise him on the economy, he wants to privatize social security, he want tax credits for health care, not affordable health care. Yes, he supports George W. Bush 100 percent. That is not change. That is status quo. That is more of the same.
