intelligence. In reading viewer's comments on various sites in which the election is discussed I've been noticing that many people state that Sarah is unintelligent.

Why do you think many people see her this way? Although I do not like all of the nominees, I do not feel that any of them are unintelliegnt in any way.

because often times people will attack whatever they can when they are opposed to someone or something, it doesn't have to be true.

I do not see Sarah as being unintelligent, I see her as a young woman in High school as the type who felt she was above most of her classmates,I see her as quite intelligent, but full of herself, the class prom queen, or homecoming queen, etc. I see her as being one of the top ten% in her class. I see her as what the boys would call a "tease". That's how I see her then, Now I see her as a woman with ambition, trying to prove something, once again better than others, but still an I love me who do you love type. Quick wit, and a sharp tongue, can be caustic at times.

This is right out of the Democratic playbook. They always try to paint candidates who frighten them as stupid. They do this every election cycle. They tried to do it to Reagan, and it backfired. Sarah Palin reminds me more of Reagan than any candidate that I have seen since. I can't wait to see what happens!

Can you post up some examples? Because I think often times, people tend to confuse "stupid" with "woefully and willfully un/undereducated." I've most definitely seen people criticizing the latter with respect to Palin - not so much the former.

But for the present age, which prefers the sign to the thing signified, the copy to the original, representation to reality, appearance to essence.....truth is considered profane, and only illusion sacred. Sacredness

I don't think I've seen or heard a lot of people refer to her as unintelligent so much as ignorant and under-educated. There's a big difference, and I hope the Dems realize that. I think a lot of people reacted so positively to her speech at the RNC because they had such low expectations -- though I don't know why anyone would think a sports reporter and pageant queen wouldn't know how to give a good speech.

Do I think Sarah Palin is a smart lady? Absolutely.

*** Is it because she went to so many colleges before graduating?

How is that a measure of intelligence?
