Clueless about the economy

Does John McCain really believe that our economy is fundamentally sound? Is this guy out of his freakin’ mind? He is either too old or too stupid to be president. Umployment is down. Wages are down. The price of everything is up. The deficit is up. The national debt is up. Yeah, sounds like the economy is in great shape, John. Perhaps it is time for another tax break for those who make over $250,000 a year. We could use some of that Reagan trickledown voodoo economics about now.
Perhaps when McCain is elected, his new treasury secretary Phil Gramm will straighten all of us whiners out?
The guys seem to be clueless about the economy.

I agree with the last part of your statement, and I'm glad you brought in the bigger picture, because that's what it is really about. Israel is not enough land for us to hold over there anymore.
And also, for the others, let's just think about this logically for a second.
*** 1. The government has never fully disclosed to us the whole truth about ANYTHING, ever. That's probably a good thing.
I agree...personally, I think there was always a greater "national security" plan working in the background...to democratize the middle east...but strangely, it all seemed up to Saddam Hussein. What do you think would have happened if, at the last minute, Hussein agreed to UN inspections?
*** 2. Why would a government willingly choose to divide its people, encourage divisiveness, etc., if not for some greater cause? Think about it. If you were running a business, and you had a goal in mind, the LAST thing you would want is for all of your employees to be disagreeing vehemently with each other. If you want to remain powerful, defended, and growing, you wouldn't engage in an activity that would make so many people so mad, if it wasn't for something really important.
If you'll recall, at the time the President had the support of Congress and an 80+% approval rating. I think that they really expected to find WMDs...and for the life of me, I can't understand why Hussein would play chicken with the US standing on his border.
*** 3. Therefore, beyond oil, beyond Hussein, beyond WMDs...It is POSSIBLE that the government has intelligence or has a plan, beyond that which is readily and transparently disclosed to us, that actually DOES make the War in Iraq a valid pre-emptive defense strategy. Not saying I agree with what's happening, not saying I am happy about the fact that I have personally seen loved ones die in Iraq...I'm just suggesting that maybe their agenda in Iraq is ultimately to our country, and to each our personal safety's, benefit, in the long run.
I agree...and I do support the President completely in his efforts in Iraq.
The funny thing is that no other country or foreign intelligence agency stood up and said they didn't.
Seriously?? That's not the way I remember it.
Thank you, nicole_ftm for my siggy!

If you're not too busy, I'd love to see the links to the foreign intelligence agencies that proved Saddam didn't have WMDs.
