Sticking to the issues

While McCain/Palin continue their political campaign of distract and react, I would like to try to focus the attention of voters on the issues.
The economy is in deep do-do.
The political state in Iraq has made little if any progress during the time of the so-called surge. Though violence has subsided somewhat, the three sides there still are at odds and are no closer to reconciling their differences than they were before the surge. Anytime, the civic war there could heat up again. Probably after the upcoming election it will.
Health care costs continue to rise, along with the cost of everything.
We have $10-12 billion dollars to spend every month in Iraq, yet those folks have a stash of money from their oill sales. Why are they not using that money to pay for our services there?
If we can waste that money there, why can we not spend a few dollars helping the Americans who have been hurt by Hurricane Ike? Our response there seems similar to the Katrina fiasco.
These are all issues that we need to be focused on as we head into the stretch run of the presidential race.
The big question to be asked is, are you better off today than you were before George W. Bush took office? John McCain is the voice of status quo. If you like what Bush has done for our country, then vote for McCain.
On the other hand, if you want change, you must vote for Obama.

Exactly. The hypocrites can't have it both ways. Oh, I guess that won't stop them from trying to though. lol.
Want to point out that Obama came of age after the Vietnam war was over.
WHY would AMERICA listen to YOU? Apparently, you are NOT aware that Obama has proposed the LARGEST tax increases in history! He wants 845 Billion to go to Africa, and to raise welfare programs and then on top of all of this he is going to make a government healthcare plan for 330 million people and insure all the preexisting conditions AND insure the 65 million immigrants? COME ON! PEOPLE get REAL....Obama built a campaign on an antiwar speech, notice he flip flopped from that, same as he has so many other issues! I have been out talking to the voters, and although there seems to be a bunch of Liberals online they are NOT out here among the people working and trying to take care of their businesses! Liberals want a handout, and ask NOT what your COUNTRY can DO FOR YOU...BUT WHAT you can DO for your country!
JKF was a CATHOLIC and CONSERVATIVE, he would never have backed Obama's leftist agenda!
FIRST you people said ABORTION was the ISSUE and then the WAR, and NOW you want to talk about the ECONOMY?
PLEASE STOP already!
McCain has a history for bipartisanship, OBAMA voted MORE with his party than anyone, and he also chose NOT to take a side in 140 votes, he has only 143 LOGGED SENATE DAYS! IF you go back and look at the clips you can watch on YOUTUBE when he CLEARLY states he WILL RAISE taxes and it will be UNPOPULAR!
THE LEOPARD will NOT change his SPOTS! WE need a PATRIOT someone who has PROVEN his sacrifice for this COUNTRY! NOT an orarator and a speech!
There are plenty of people who served in the military after Vietnam ended, despite all the "societal changes" and "culturally very different times". BO chose not to do so.
The photos are of both our Presidential candidates in their younger years. Make of them whatever you choose.
Please stop the groundless, hateful and ignorant ranting.
Do you suggest
Let's see...
1) JFK was a Catholic.
2) He cut taxes, increased military spending, fought communism, supported the death penalty.
Those sound pretty conservative to me...
Yes, I partially agree with you. I don't think we (our Gov.) could afford to provide healthcare and welfare benefits for illegals. I believe the number is much smaller than 65 mills, but still I personally am against providing any benefits to them, especially in this tough economical times. However there needs to be some system implemented where people with skills or/and education
