Here is a cool website where you can enter your family filing status and AGI and see whether/how your family will benefit tax-wise from the candidates' proposed tax plans:

(((It’s legalized theft. )))

The way that we are gouged at the pump? The way that businesses have shipped our jobs over seas? The way that we pay for products from China but instead get lead poisoned children? Oh, and the bankruptcy filings due to medical bills? Yeah...legalized theft alright.

"It's more welcome than smash and grab stealing the way the CEO/CFO's have done on wallstreet. lol. And price gouging from the oil companies. Not welcome in this country either."

Obama's economics are flakey.

And if that is the case, the economy would be totally crashed if people don't buy the product. But like as a previous poster said....you are getting something for your money, a business is not "stealing" your money, you choose to give it to them. Right now my husband and I are on a spending ban because we are waiting for a $4000 preschool tuition check to clear. Guess what? I've found I can do without a lot. when I buy stuff, I choose to buy it, i'm not being forced to give up my money. Just because some people fall hook, line and sinker for the latest and greatest gadget, is it the companies fault for inventing it so people would buy it?

I am sorry that you have dialup, but deductions (the standard deduction or itemized deductions) come after AGI is determined.

Deflection, deflection, deflection, deflection and a deflection.

You are making the erroneous assumption this new tax policy will help counteract any of those things in the long-term, IMO.

The AGI is your gross income less deductions, as I've stated.

"I will do better under Obama."

We all will, regardless of our income. America has lost its moral compass under this President. For the tiny few who will pay a few more bucks in taxes, they will recover that many times over in being able to sleep at night. And to those tiny rich few do not feel that way - you've just had 8 good years at America's expense and what is fair is fair.

Here is a link showing how under Democrats everyone prospers, but under Republicans only the rich prosper and it's at the expense of the rest.
