Here is a cool website where you can enter your family filing status and AGI and see whether/how your family will benefit tax-wise from the candidates' proposed tax plans:

They do, up to a certain point. And the amount of money that they save on taxes is pennies compared to the amount they contribute. Ever play around with tax programs? We have and we've added write offs just to see what the difference is, it may amount to getting $20 more back for some of the write offs, not a huge difference compared to what the amount was (i think we added like 10,000 or something) we wouldn't have seen much of that back from the gov't.

It's not the actual income tax they would pay, but the effect of raising corporate taxes that would be passed along. But I don't understand why it's a less of a factor on a single person, 0 dep, making 35,000. The corporate tax effect is less the way it figures it. ??

Just what do you think is their FAIR SHARE? I personally feel the people making unde 100,000 pay MORE than their fair share!

I don't work, I should be collecting disability, but I'm not, maybe I should try to get it. My DH is a supervisor of 4 survey teams, so maybe if anything a survey team will be laid off. There isn't a lot of work because developers aren't developing as much right now. So, you sound like if Obama wins, the Businesses owners will have to pay more, so they will just take their toys and go home? Why were businesses doing well, BEFORE Bush's tax cuts?
