The two are not comparable. Wright was a pastor. Bush43 IS the standing POTUS. McCain voted with Bush43 95% of the time. Barack doesn't agree with Wright's views about America. Okay, you get the idea, but if you want to make them equal that is your choice. lol. This is America.

Just don't be surprised if I post another thread: Sarah Palin = Ted Stevens. lol.

Oh Barack does not agree with Wright's views about America? It only took him 20 years for him to back away after this became news. Wasn't Wright a mentor

((It only took him 20 years for him to back away after this became news. Wasn't Wright a mentor to Obama? you often look up to someone that is your mentor and agree with their views. Ok....you get the idea, right?)))

Actually, you are wrong. I typed earlier that I have senior members in my immediate family that are racist. Their views are their own, but I don't believe that they are right. I choose not to agree with them. Bucking the party has not been a problem for Barack nor would it be a problem for me to buck the party, the way it has been for McCain. And Barack said that Wright was his pastor, spiritual guide that taught him about Jesus. Wright is flawed as many of us who are willing to admit it are, and Barack tried to love the man while denouncing the sin. Cutting people that do more harm than good out of our lives is sometimes necessary. People that have the ability to put themselves in others' shoes know this.

((He did for 20 years until America heard what Wright had to say, then Obama seemed to (for the first time austensibly) hear what his close personal friend's views were.

Yea, I'm not buying those lines either.))

Actually, all of America wasn't offended, but apparently Barack believes that if one is offended than one too many is offended. Wright's comments were caustic, but a lot of it was based on his views of America related to his experiences. The way Bill-o or Lou Dobbs or Hannity or Glenn Beck view the world. distorted.lol. Yet, they have TV shows. Either way, Wright is not running. Barrack will get my vote.
