Aren't most of the companies who are leaving Michigan going to other U.S. states who are more friendly to business? I think the big problem there is huge taxes on businesses. If they would be more business friendly, people would not be losing their jobs, and would in fact be earning more.

He didn't say they "were" switching to Obama, he said he expects some to. We'll see.

There have ALWAYS been taxes on businesses. Maybe you aren't aware of this but some of those taxes go to the school districts in the areas they are. Do you want to pay MORE school tax? Are you going to now say there shouldn't be any Public Schools? Not everybody can send thei kids to private schools! I do not begrudge businesses that provide our own Americans jobs to get breaks, but I am certainly opposed to giving breaks to businesses that send work overseas. They in my opinion should be made to pay through the nose!

They aren't losing most businesses overseas - they are losing most businesses to other states here in the U.S. Michigan is not friendly to business. That's the main reason they are hurting more than the other states.

People are leaving Michigan because they are being foreclosed on and the automakers have laid-off many employees due to their ill-conceived business plan of building Hummers and SUV's while others made more fuel-efficient cars.
