Dear McCain supporter,

I am curious.  What do you hope to see in the next 4 years?  If McCain and Palin become President and Vice President, how will our nation look?  Which issue do you think we'll see the greatest growth/change on?

How do you think President McCain will impact our foreign relations?

our economy?

global climate?

education?

I ask my fellow Obama supporters to refrain from criticizing the answers.  I sincerely want to know.  Of course everyone is free to post as they like, but please start a new thread if you'd like to debate the answers.

Thank you.

Now then, I'm not a McCain supporter, but I'll call him the "lesser of two evils."

I wouldn't actually call myself a McCain supporter, but I do intend to vote for him.

I think the greatest change we will see with a President McCain is cutting wasteful spending and lower taxes. These things he has been known to support for his 26 years in congress and has a consistent track record in that regard, as opposed to Obama who has voted 100% of the time for tax increases and more government spending. I think actions speak louder than words. Obama says while campaigning that he will cut taxes, but his record shows the opposite. He has also proposed 5 billion dollars worth of NEW SPENDING. There is no way on earth he can pay for our current overhead AND all the new spending by increasing taxes on the rich. With Obama's plan, imo, the government will actually generate less revenues and our already fragile economy will collapse.

The main reason that I have chosen to vote for McCain is foreign relations. I think he is experienced enough that rogue leaders will less likely be trying to test him than they would an inexperienced, weak, Obama. I believe in peace through strength. I think Obama would weaken us in the world and make America a dangerous place to live.

I disagree with McCain's left wing environmental record, but will vote for him anyway. I want clean air and water, but some of the wacky stances that he has taken have gone too far. That issue, though, is not the most important issue for me. I am hoping that Sarah Palin can convince him to drill in Anwar, though.

I think that middle class and poor people should be allowed to attend high quality schools just like rich people. Obviously the current system isn't working. I think it could correct itself if people had a choice. Therefore I support McCain in this endeavor.

global climate?- Not a gosh-darn thing we can do about it, so why is it even as issue?

education?- McCain has propoposed some changes to NCLB ... BO will gut it, leaving those of us with children in failing schools absolutely no options within the public school system. No thanks.

our economy?- I do not believe Senator Obama can implement all his desired spending without a tax increase. The last thing an economy in difficulty needs is a tax increase.

I love your idea and I will not intrude on your Obama question but I think if I post my thoughts it will get torn apart by some others on the board.

I have about 5 minutes until putting the baby for a nap, so here goes a quick answer:

Economy and taxes

As a businesswoman, I think McCain's theories are more realistic.
