I agree that all churches should pay taxes. The question is, did the Mormon church break the current prohibition against engaging in political activities. I think they have. Therefore, they should be taxed since they are no longer following the guidelines of the IRS.

Oops, yep you're right. It looks like the Mormon church didn't break the rules. We're overdue for an overhaul of those rules. Better yet, let's simply start taxing churches and be done with it.
