"If you lived in California where there is an initiative on the ballot which would change the State Constitution so that gay marriage went from being legal (as it is now) to illegal, how would you vote?"

I've been trying to think of the best way to answer this question, because even though it seems simple, it's really not. Because of gay marriage becoming legal, it's brought about a lot of other things that I don't support or agree with, the worst of which is all public restrooms being unisex. As we found in the hollywood movie Chuck and Larry, people can pretend to be gay to get certain things. There is no way to tell if the boy going into the girl's bathroom is really gay. I think that this will increase the sexual assault and rape numbers in California, especially in the school age individuals. This is like handing over permission to have sex in the bathrooms. Teen pregnancy will go up, and a lot of people will end up in counseling. I also don't like that it is required to teach homosexuality in sex ed. I don't like sex ed anyway, it is my right and responsibility to teach my own kids about sex, but I understand that a lot of adults don't take that responsibility and leave it up to others to educate their children, that aside, I don't want my kid learning about homosexuality in such an environment. When I was in sex ed, they discussed everything but abstinance, what are they going to be teaching about homosexuality? You're going to have a bunch of confused kids who otherwise wouldn't even entertain the idea of homosexuality wondering about their own orientation. The number of kids pulled out of schools in California because of those two reasons has increased drastically, and so now the next step is that they want to make it illegal to teach your own kids unless you have a teaching degree. This is getting to the point that it is infringing on other people's rights. I'm all fine and good with people using their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but when they start infringing on my rights, they are crossing the line. And for that reason and that reason alone, I would vote for things to go back the way they were, for women and men restrooms to return, for sex ed to be heterosexual again and yes, for gay marriage to be illegal. We have seen how allowing that one thing has turned into something that is forcing other people to do what they want. It's not equal rights this way, it's them making everyone do what they want and that's wrong. If it was just the gay marriage, while I don't agree with it, I wouldn't fight it, but it's gone so far beyond that and it's wrong. Love it or hate it, that's how I see things and how I would vote if I were in Califoria. As it is, I will never live there because I don't want my daughter going to the bathroom with boys, whether they're gay or not.
You wouldn't be giving "in hopes" of anything.
What?
>>her things that I don't support or agree with, the worst of which is all public restrooms being unisex.<<
where did the legalization of gay marriage bring about all public restrooms being unisex? Certainly this is not the case in California. There have been no, zero, changes in restrooms in schools in California due to same sex marriages being legal. Gender didn't go away when same sex marriages become legal. Neither did bathrooms segregated by gender.
Neither did legalizing gay marriage in CA mean sex ed teaches about homosexuality. Each district adopts its sex ed curriculum -- and EVERY parent in CA has the legal right to not have their children taught sex ed if they wish to opt out. No changes in sex ed curriculum were the result of the change in who can legally marry.

Neither of those things came about as a result of the May decision to allow gay marriage. The first didn't happen at all, the second -- if taught at all, had nothing to do with the May decision.
Ah.....you don't live in CA. No wonder you are confused about our bathrooms. No worries, we have entirely separate bathrooms for girls and boys in schools and in public too.
Rose -- wondering where on earth you heard this nonsense

There is at least one school in California that is practicing unisex bathrooms. A private school in Oakland, California. Check out this article.

And look at this one about anything that states "mom" "dad" "husband" or "wife" is to be banned from teaching materials and schools.
