Another Senior Moment

Is John McCain just out of touch on world affairs (remember the Shia/Sunni multi-gaffe) and geography, is he hostile to some of our NATO allies, or is he having lapses?   His foreign policy advisor says that McCain intended to say EXACTLY what he said.   I think the foreign policy advisor is covering for a senior moment (is it early Alzheimers?).   Today's CNN report is on this video.

If elected, Palin will have to step in early on, because McCain seems to be losing it.

I'm convinced that McCain really was confused.

((All he had to do was smile and say he's looking forward to warm relations (and not answer the question about a visit to the White House)))

You are so right. If McCain had simply laughed it off, then he would not be the center of another gaffe. Unfortunately, he is on the defensive for no reason. Confusion, annoyance, bad attitude, all bad for a public figure...unless you are Limbaugh or Hannity. lol.

Now, Spain will have negative press about the US. The last thing that we needed. If Americans pay attention, they will realize that John McCain does not have the tact and diplomacy to improve America's standing in the world. His advisors need to be fired.

((that's when the panic started and he decided he'd just go all mavericky and threaten Spain with economic sanctions. When in doubt, rattle the sabre. That's the McBush way. Never apologize, never explain. )))

If McCain wasn't so dangerous for America, the word "mavericky" would be hilarious. But my anxiety is outweighed by the giggles. lol.

It's hard not to take the whole thing as another Mr. Magoo cartoon, but you're right, it's just too dangerous to take this stuff lightly. Still, it helps to laugh.

Laughing does keep us sane, doesn't it? Wonder what that outrageous GOP spin will be tomorrow? Uggh. lol.

((Otherwise, he looks like he's not in control of his own campaign.)))

It's as you said. John is confused. I suspect that he projects his shortcomings onto Barack. And today, he said that Barack's bosses were telling him what to do. So, in essence, the GOP is more than likely pushing John around now. He's just "letting it rip", as my Mom says. lol.

If McCain wins, we will have yet another President who can't articulate his words to save his soul. WOW, just wow, he hedged around that question like he didn't know what she was saying! She asked about Spain, and he brings up Mexico and Latin America!

I think when you actually watch the video it speaks well for McCain. The president of Spain was not offended, and defended McCain to his own press. McCain also drew the important distinction between his common sense foreign strategy and Obama's foolish one.

The left is really stretching to try to make something negative out of this one. It will backfire just like all the other things they have tried.

Truth never backfires.
