Is John McCain just out of touch on world affairs (remember the Shia/Sunni multi-gaffe) and geography, is he hostile to some of our NATO allies, or is he having lapses? His foreign policy advisor says that McCain intended to say EXACTLY what he said. I think the foreign policy advisor is covering for a senior moment (is it early Alzheimers?). Today's CNN report is on this video.

If elected, Palin will have to step in early on, because McCain seems to be losing it.

After watching the video I think a lot of people who watched the interview w/o the benefit of being told exactly what was about to transpire would not have understood her either ....
I think he gave a very generic answer b/c he didn't understand which president she was talking of .. which is why it was later said 'he answered what he wanted to, b/c he did'.
Much ado about nothing ... sort of like when Obama mispoke and said he'd visited 57 states and had 1 left to go to.
People mispeak and have duh moments ... including these 2.

again ... I think that was said b/c at the time he did answer what he meant.
He's dont this and continues to do so....
Could you clarify what you meant?
Clearly he made a mistake.
Obama only gets away with his gaffs, memory lapses and outright lies because he is the affirmative action candidate.
