Equal pay for equal work

Could anyone post some REAL STUDIES OR STATISTICS that show woman are still paid less for the same jobs, WHEN ADJUSTED for hours worked, education, same willingness to travel, years of experience, etc.

Not the standard old $.76 on the dollar argument, because I know that is not adjusted for the things I mention.  Not comparing a teacher to an engineer, etc.  Or even a business degree to a business degree.  But actual comparable jobs.

I am asking because I just have a gut feeling that woman are paid much more equally than the media claims, but I will admit that I have not personally read any studies.  So that's the reason for the post:  to gather real info so I am truly informed.

Thanks!

The wage gap is a soicially generated gap, not due to discrimintation as many would claim.

Yes, there is a problem there.

What you will find as well is that the requirements to become a police officer or a firefighter are lessened for women.

Exactly. Earlier this year Psychological Science published a study that showed women who show anger in the workplace are viewed negatively compared with men acting the same way.
