Change vs. Change

If Barack Obama is elected, I do believe change will come. If he does what he says he will do and there is nothing to indicate that he will not, I believe we will begin to see a foreign policy change that emphasizes diplomacy over bombing everything in sight.
I believe that Obama will try to turn the economy around and to establish affordable health care.
Obama truly respresented a change in the status quo.
The only change I believe that will happen under John McCain is nickles and dimes in my pocket that used to be dollar bills.
McCain embraces and endorces everything that George W. Bush has done over the past eight years and plans more of the same. That is just more of the same. Change means something different. If McCain truly is a maverick who advocates change, then why does he not criticize any of Bush’s policies? Why? Because they are exactly the same!

since you're so convinced Obama can do the things you just spoke of ... do you mind explaining how you think he will accomplish each?

Well, it's pretty much a given that McCain will take over where Bush left off.

I asked how Obama can do what he states he can do .... do you have an answer for that?

NOT what McCain can/will/can't/won't do -- BUT directly HOW Obama can/will change things based on what he says now.

Obama will certainly be more diplomatic. As far as the Health Care crisis, I don't know if he can do what needs to be done, I think the Ins Companies need a swift kick in the head. They need to stop raising rates constantly, and stop denying ins to people with pre-exhisting conditions. During the last 7 plus years they have gone hogwild with charging more and more. It has never been this bad. I'm telling you, you let the wealthy keep more of their money, and it sure as heck doesn't trickle down, that is a big sham!

I agree our health care is out of control in this country .. and a lot of the blame goes to the insurance companies (and imho the drug companies) - but some also goes to us.

This is a followup about the guy living in Third World poverty and his half-brother, who is the leading candidate to become the next president of the United States.

He’s in his twenties.

LOL D'Souza is a NeoCon hack...

colbert-dsouza.jpgColbert was in top form last night when conservative pundit Dinesh D'Souza came on the show to promote his new book, The Enemy At Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11. In his latest screed, D'Souza, according to Publishers Weekly's review, "roots the blame for the 9/11 attacks in the left wing's 'aggressive global campaign to undermine the traditional patriarchal family'." (emphasis mine)

Children can be insured through SCHIPs. You go to the website and fill out the paperwork, or call and an application will be sent to you. Lower income parents, single working parents could very easily qualify for ACCESS/Medicade. Notice, I stated WORKING. You must have a JOB to be eligible for SCHIPs for your children. It will come right out of your pay. Some parents are just too lazy to fill out the paperwork required. In PA every child is eligible, it goes according to the parents income. If you make under a certain amount,it also goes by Family size. You can be elegible for FREE SCHIPS . After that it goes up in cost. The next group pays 40-50 a month per child.
