Sticking it to big bin'nuss

Once again the green weenies and the anticorporatist crowd have stuck it to America again.
Step aside Prius. You’re fuel economy was impressive, but the enormous resources to build you (equivalent to a hummer) were meant to be toppled at some point.
Ford, yes Ford, has rolled out its 2009 Fiesta ECOnetic with its 65 mpg rating. Unlike the Prius, which loses steam after a couple hours on the highway, the Fiesta keeps going and going.
So what’s the problem? It’s this good news to all? No it isn’t. This new Fiesta isn’t for sale in the US. The Fiesta burns diesel and with the climate of ‘sticking it to big business’ the taxes on diesel fuel make such a vehicle unappealing in the US even though diesel is widely known (from a fuel efficient standpoint) as widely superior to gasoline.
So, sorry folks. When you next decide to buy a vehicle you could’ve gotten one with easily double the fuel economy of the car you have now, but it’s unavailable. Guess the best option you’ll have would be the Prius with its lower fuel economy.
