I happen to have a friend who's a Harvard Law professor, and he's one of the smartest, best-educated people I've ever met. He says that Barack Obama is one of the smartest people that he's ever met.
I wonder if anyone, Republican, Democrat, or Independent, will challenge the assertion that Obama is the brightest, best educated, most talented candidate on either ticket.
We have a terrible mess on or hands. The next few presidents, whoever they are, are going to have to grapple with an $11 Trillion deficit. Our economy is teetering on the verge of collapse. I don't envy the person who gets sworn in on January 20th, and I have serious doubts about anyone's ability to properly handle this crisis.
However - And any thinking voter will realize that nothing else matters right now - We have to pick somebody. I'm going to cast my lot with the Harvard Law grad, who's backed by the world's most prescient financier, Warren Buffett, who repeatedly warned us that this meltdown was coming. Even they might not be able to get us out of this mess, but they are our best and only real hope. I urge you all to give them a chance. Please talk to your voting friends about this.
