McCain's Political Theater?

I think McCain's "suspension" of his campaign to go to DC and sit around while Congress hammers out a bailout plan is just political theater.  I am not sure that McCain's presence is required at all.  He will need to vote on a bill either way, but he can fly in, vote and be back on the trail.  Also, I think postponing the debate is another political stunt.   You know, "country first."  Our country's representatives cannot work on this program without McCain and his campaign lobbyists sitting there sounds a bit ridiculous.   I think this political theater will play well to the base, but I think it makes McCain look like he cannot multi-task well enough to campaign then go vote on a bill.

Harry Reid is a hypocrite. Two days ago he said if John McCain doesn't vote for this bill, no Democrat would. That signaled that McCain better get back to Washington to make sure this bill was something that he could vote for. Since most of the Republicans (all but 4) were NOT on board he also needed to make sure that it was fixed in a way that he could lead his own party into getting on board. Then when McCain decided to come back and do his job, and Obama decided on his strategy of "Politics as Usual", "Self First", Harry Reid quickly changed his tune and decided they didn't need McCain. How TRANSPARENT is that??? I am APPALLED and AFRAID that the Democrats are playing politics with the country's future!

You ALWAYS say: Republicans will pull the same stunts they did in 2000 and 2004
