Palin and her Preacher. Wow.

Watch Palin get up there with her palms out to catch the rain of Jesus to get her elected. This is just a few minutes after her witch-hunting preacher said this:
"The second area whereby God wants us, wants to penetrate in our society is in the economic area. The Bible says that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. It's high time that we have top Christian businessmen, businesswomen, bankers, you know, who are men and women of integrity running the economics of our nations. That's what we are waiting for. That's part and parcel of transformation. If you look at the -- you know -- if you look at the Israelites, that's how they work. And that's how they are, even today."

This is the same preacher just a couple of months ago Palin praised as helping her get into the Governor's mansion.
So Sopal and others who have suggested that we can rest assured Palin is not a nut job, do we really know what Palin thinks, that she's not totally nuts? Here she is, up on stage with an anti-Semite witch hunter after he just spewed some anti-Semitic trash, hands out to catch the rain of Jesus from his prayers.
Maybe there is an explanation for this. We don't have time, however, to get comfortable before November 5th that this Palin is not a nut job who would seek to impose her radical religious beliefs on America.
This video is just another stunner in a long line of them that keep bubbling up. Palin is on the record as saying that it should be illegal for a raped woman not to have her rapist's child. What else does she believe?
And Palin has no credibility. She keeps repeating her bald faced exposed lie that she killed the bridge to nowhere.

That is your opinion.
You're an Obama supporter, aren't you? Looks like you've won the lottery. LOL!
Yup!
*** Yup! If Obama wins we won't have to worry about senility & lipstick holding the football!
Absolutely right...you'll have the inexperienced neophyte elitist & senility trying to figure out why a football needs a code.
Oh no - we'll be just fine!
LOL, no. Please, PLEASE tell me you understand the general concept of a community-based web site. Because you're on one, for starters.
But, since your post left some doubt as to that question....the basic idea is that the proprietor(s) of a web site decide to open it up to the public (or maybe that was the purpose all along) by allowing anyone with an Internet connection to create an account. Once created, these account-holders can log in and post things in the "members area" - or other specifically designated areas of the site. Those areas are almost
never
the front page of the site, because - and this is the important part - the views of the members (who, after all, are just people who registered with a name and email address, typically) are not necessarily reflective of nor endorsed by the owners/management of the site.See how it works? There used to be a poster here named texas06. He posted up some pretty obviously untrue and hateful stuff about Barack Obama - in fact, it happened frequently, and usually in ALLCAPS. But, because it usually didn't violate either the TOS of iVillage or larger libel laws, it was allowed to remain up here. In fact, if you scroll back through the archives, you will find many of these posts. Were you under the impression that these posts - or, for that matter, those of myself or backinthesaddleagain or sopal - were shared or endorsed explicitly or implicitly by the owners or CMs of iVillage, just because it's allowed to stay up on one of the message boards here?
OK, then.
By the same token (which I'd have thought was pretty obvious, but apparently not), neither does the fact that someone with access to an Internet-connected computer created an account at DailyKos and then posted up the untrue and fairly slimy notion that Bristol Palin is Trig's mother, serve to indicate that such views are endorsed by Markos Moulitsas or any of the rest of his small handful of editors/moderators. It just doesn't, no matter how many OTHER like-minded idiots may have added in a comment in the affirmative. It's kind of funny that when the right wing wants to bash DailyKos, they always wade deep, deep into what are called the "diaries" - essentially online journals of the members, not the owner/operators, and dig up some half-baked screed (such as this "Bristol-is-Trig's-mom" nonsense) by someone whose member-ID is less than two weeks old or something similar.
On the other hand, of course, the link provided in the OP here, was featured on the front page of DailyKos, and written by one of the moderators/admins (Kagro X). Why? Because - as I see someone else has already noted - although it may displease people like you to see/read it, it's neither slanderous nor non-factual. In fact, it's about VIDEO of Palin herself, not all that long ago, receiving the "blessing" of a pastor who literally got his start conducting an actual witch-hunt in Africa, and whose anti-Semitism is both so obvious and so creepy that it's a wonder that this hasn't come to light just in the course of Palin's campaigns to be governor of the state of Alaska already.
You want to criticize Kos fairly? Talk about the site-endorsed stuff that appears on the front page, not what some idiot or idiots dream up in some backwater diary....unless you're willing to assign to iVillage the ownership and sponsorship of every nutty post that gets tossed up here on every board on this site.
Even if Couric disagrees with her or doesn't like her, why the need to treat her that way??
If
Bingo.
Although I'm aware it was crafted in its entirety by someone other than Ms. Palin herself, the speech she gave at the Republican convention was little except gratuitous "attack-dog" shots at Barack Obama. That's the traditional role of the VP candidate (at least it is ONE of the understood roles of a VP running mate), but Palin certainly didn't have to deliver remarks she found distasteful or beneath her (or Obama's) dignity. In fact, she appeared to quite relish the role.
So have a big ol' heaping helping of it yourself, there, Governor Mooseburger....and if you feel disposed to cry "sexism!!!!" or snark at the reporters, well...just remember: the whole country's watching, and those reporters can either make you look awfully good...or awfully bad. Just ask your running mate.
