Sarah Makes Katie Nervous

In all the excitement of today's news I wonder how many saw the interview with Katie Couric today. Sarah did great. Katie had the nervous blinking syndrome. It was so interesting to watch Katie's reactions to Sarah - between all the blinks - I could sense some real hatred. I enjoyed watching it.

Here it is :

I'm afraid you're mistaken (SHOCK!!!) You might take notice of the "s" at the end of "exampleS" in the quotes below...

"But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you've said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?"

and...

"I'm just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation."

This, of course, was after removing the most significant and direct answer to the question, proving that Couric was just another media hack looking for a "gotcha" moment that only made Couric look like an a$$...

"You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?"

I'm sure they'll call him if they need him! LOL!

Imagine a reporter unpuckering their lips from Obama's butt long enough to ask him to list the things Biden has done in his 35 year career to regulate poor lending practices. And then imagine the dull glare in Obama's eyes as he responds...uh...um...er...uh...um...er...

Palin should have just b****-slapped Couric and called her on her incredibly inane question. He approvals would have shot through the roof.

The icing on the cake for me is the very end:

Couric: I’m just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.

Palin: I’ll try to find you some and I’ll bring them to you.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the icing, lol

>Sorry, no...Couric took the "correct answer" off the table before she even asked the question. It's a cheap trick and it was yet another stupid "gotcha" moment from the liberal media. It's also inane that Couric was asking obscure questions about McCain's record instead of questions about the issues themselves...and no, I don't think Couric knew the answer to the question, but this bit if stupidity was pretty much in keeping with her performance as a "news woman."<

And again, as I've pointed out before, that one little piece of failed legislation does not suddenly make McCain a regulation sort of guy. Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac were not the only ones involved in this crisis. They were not the cause of this crisis. They're not even the biggest CONCERN of this crisis.

So, let's spell it out--in an effort to get more people buying more houses, taking out more loans, unscrupulous lenders created packages that enabled individuals to buy more home than they could afford, with no money down frequently and often with payments that would balloon. Seriously, a loan for 0 down and interest only payments for the first few years? That's just stupid. And it also encourages a ridiculously over-priced "flip" market.

The first step in this crisis then was deregulating BANKS, not Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. They just stupidly invested in those banks, just like a whole lot of other WALL STREET FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS (none of which was covered by that failed piece of legislation BTW).

So, if McCain's legislation had passed MAYBE Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac wouldn't need bailing out. Maybe they would, since WALL STREET WAS DOING IT TOO.

Sorry for all the yelling. I really get tired of folks not understanding the financial crisis and thinking that dinky bill would have made a difference. It wouldn't have.

She did great? I'm sorry, did you watch the same interview I did? Now I know the reason *why* she's only given two interviews.

Ah but that lipstick joke was precious wasn't it?
