Sarah Makes Katie Nervous

In all the excitement of today's news I wonder how many saw the interview with Katie Couric today. Sarah did great. Katie had the nervous blinking syndrome. It was so interesting to watch Katie's reactions to Sarah - between all the blinks - I could sense some real hatred. I enjoyed watching it.

Here it is :

Yes and on a hot summer day here when I have had to drive past a chicken farm, or worse still a chicken plant, I know exactly what you meant!

I don't think Katie was affected by Sarah at all.

>Define "socialism" and explain how Canada is a socialist country. Socialism = Communism. I think you have us confused with China or Cuba...<

Point of contention: socialism does not equal communism. Perhaps to many Americans it does, but in the international political science courses I took in the 1980s, and the political philosophy courses I took then also, there was a distinction between the two. Socialism generally must precede communism in the natural course of an economy (if that is the path in which the economy is headed.)

In simplistic terms, socialism is defined "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their deeds;" communism is defined "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs." Or another way of looking at it, socialism allows for private property and a true communist system doesn't.

Blinking can be caused by dry-eye syndrome. McCain blinked a lot also. i know i do also at times. I use Restasis which insodently is a very costly eye drop when your insurance says its not on their "Formulary" list! They know just exactly where they can stuff that list, too!

Your education on the affairs of US polictics, if gleaned from any of our media outlets, it's tainted with an extreme and heavy liberal bias.

While I understand the distinction you're making, it seems the terms have come to be used interchangably, for example United Soviet Socialist Republics.

Regardless, just trying to make the point that Canada is a free market democracy, with far more in common with the US than many Americans may think. :)

As an attorney you should know that the simple word "but" following a statement means "disregard previous statement"

LOL - as a non-attorney, I was told it means,

"Everything after the but is Bull***T!!"

You know, that was the first thing I thought - "her contacts are drying her eyes out, she needs some drops"!

Mostly because I wear lenses and my allergies are killing my eyes right now!
