Adding to the rocky perception was a McCain campaign web ad released this morning declaring "McCain Wins Debate!" -- put out even before the candidate had announced he was planning to debate.

"So? Just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't exist."

Thank you for proving my point that i'm sure obama has one too!

I just follow the lead of so many - just post what my "feelings" are.

You know I would agree with you that it was stupid to let that be released too early, BUT again the tag at the bottom doesn't wash.

And it could be a set up.

I think it is safe to say that both Obama and McCain most like have ads ready for all sorts of circumstances, including winning a debate (kind of like winning the superbowl...both teams already have hats and shirts made just in case).

I don't know, maybe because he feels that a solution is inevitable?

I think all you people underestimate good ol' St. Senator Maverick "Bomb-Bomb" McBush-Lite.

This pre-released victory lap for the debate which McCain isn't even PARTICIPATING IN (or wasn't, until today, LOL) is obviously a sign of greatness. Truly, we are in the presence of a zen master who can accomplish the "camel-through-the-eye-of-a-needle" trick of arriving without travelling. Only, as applied to the political world, it's "win without debating." He doesn't even have to SHOW UP, and he's already won. That's some powerful debating there, folks, accomplished with a minimum of effort.

I only wonder why, if he'd already WON the thing, he bothered to change his plan of NOT showing up? ;o)
