getting a little ahead of ourselves???

Adding to the rocky perception was a McCain campaign web ad released this morning declaring "McCain Wins Debate!" -- put out even before the candidate had announced he was planning to debate.

Truly, we are in the presence of a zen master who can accomplish the "camel-through-the-eye-of-a-needle" trick of arriving without travelling. Only, as applied to the political world, it's "win without debating." He doesn't even have to SHOW UP, and he's already won. That's some powerful debating there, folks, accomplished with a minimum of effort
OM MANI PADME HUM !
Change the momentum
This is - in your mind - some nefarious plot by "the left" (that oh-so-organized group of political tree-spikers who're responsible for everything from the Wall Street collapse to your aunt's gout)? Seriously? You're actually suggesting that somehow, "the left" (this marvelous ad-hoc group) took the time to:
Oy. Well, whatever gets you through the night, snoopy. But thank you for providing me with a memory vivid enough not only to recall, but to induce fits of laughter, the next time someone starts bloviating about "conspiracy theorists on the left."
Seriously:
I Can't Stand It - I Know You Planned It
I'm-a Set It Straight, This Watergate
I Can't Stand Rocking When I'm In Here
Because Your Crystal Ball Ain't So Crystal Clear
So While You Sit Back and Wonder Why
I Got This F---ing Thorn In My Side
Oh My God, It's A Mirage
I'm Tellin' Y'all It's Sabotage
The picture was posted by mistake by the Wall Street Journal, not the McCain camp.

Before Republican presidential hopeful John McCain announced he would attend the presidential debate on Friday night in Mississippi, apparently an Internet advertisement slipped out onto the Wall Street Journal’s opinion page with it declaring he won the contest.
Here’s a screenshot of the Web advertisement as posted by the Washington Post in which it claims “McCain Wins Debate,” with him in the foreground and an American flag in the background.
McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said the ad posting was a mistake by the Wall Street Journal. Oops.
Take a deep breath. Open a fresh browser window. Type John McCain's web site into the address bar (or, just click on this link). Scroll down to the bottom. No, below the treacly crap about how the McCain/Palin ticket "feels like you" (which, now that I come to think of it, is actually rather creepy). Keep going. Riiiiiiight......there. Got it? Do you see what I see?
OK, OK, if you don't wanna do that....I included a screenshot with this post. Were you prepared to argue that this, too - the very hacking of St. Senator Maverick "Bomb-Bomb" McBush-lite's web site was also perpetrated by "the left?"
Man, those lefties are good.
edited to add: Fish, meet barrel. ;o)
