McCain is clenching and unclenching his jaw and bounce up and down on his feet like he's looking for a fight. Obama has nothing but smiled. My husband doesn't care for either candidate but says McCain has a horrible poker face. The have both interrupted each other. I've opposed the war in Iraq since 2005 and have never been in the Senate either.

McCain is closing on his war prisoner status.

Oh horsefeathers, McCain was interupting Obama also. Obama was not mad, he was just smiling when McCain was distorting what he said.

Wasn't Obama in the Illinois State Senate?

Obama was irritated because he had to constantly correct McC's lying! Why does McC think he can't make a point without lying? Certainly he's intelligent enough

It doesn't matter what he was when he opposed it. Someone challenged me on this a couple of years ago, and was able to produce a post from 4/24/02 calling attention to war plans in Iraq and the possible consequences.

If Obama worked as dog catcher and opposed the war, good enough for me.

I think that Obama did need to correct McCain on lies (mischaracterizations) more that should have been necessary.

He was discussing it at a Community Organizer event.

No, Obama never voted on the war. As an Illinois State Senator, Obama was pushed into giving an anti-war speech in 2002 at an anti-war rally. Following that speech, he has waffled several times on his war position.
