Wow, bigotry rears it’s ugly head.

I was amazed and confused as well. My post referred to Obama's political motivations for making his anti-war speech and suddenly I was being accused of racism by a racist.
I see, so you are taking one man's opinion as fact? Well be that as it may you have to remember that it is just his opinion. I disagree, that is my opinion. So I guess we just have to agree to disagree on that one. Obama took an anti war stand at a time when the war was widely popular, unless he has some kind of esp it was a gamble politically since many people were labeled 'unpatriotic' at that time if they disagreed with anything Bush said about the war - remember the Dixie Chicks? So you can have your opinion - an I respect that, although I disagree with you and Mendell. Interestingly many of the things Obama thought would come to pass when he made his speech against the war have come to pass - so even if it had been a political move (which I doubt) he seems to have been pretty accurate.

I watched the debate with a friend of mine--a very intelligent person--who is an Obama supporter.

I am requesting an explanation for these comments, because I have NO idea from where this blatant racism is coming.
I found these comments to be offensive (and I am not one to get riled up about political correctness, so don't think you can get off that easy).
I do not see a place nor reason for such comments, and I want to understand why you said what you've said.
In my opinion, your comments were unwarranted, and frankly, disgusting.
