Obama puts his own selfish interests first. This is proven by his refusal to go to Washington at a time of crisis and actually DO the job that the American people sent him there to do, until the president himself called and asked him to help. He continues to campaign as if a national crisis was not amiss.

John McCain could also be at campaign stops, but he chooses to remain in Washington and do his job. This shows a continued pattern of putting the country ahead of his political career.

There are plenty of crooks and liars on BOTH sides of the aisle. When I was looking for that Democrat with the bad wig who went to prison a few weeks ago I found a long, long, list of corrupt politicians - some who went to prison - some who's connections have kept them out of prison. They come from both parties. There is one Democrat in the news currently who was caught with 90 THOUSAND DOLLARS of bribe money in his FREEZER!

The American people are well aware that our politicians are corrupt and are angry about that, and they are also angry about all the WASTEFUL SPENDING and EARMARKS which are nothing more than bribes to get votes back home. And there is PLENTY OF BLAME to go around.

Yes, he did. If you had listened to his speech suspending his campaign he said that would suspend his campaign AFTER he speaks at the Clinton Global Initiative. He spoke with Couric BEFORE he spoke at the CGI. He did suspend his ads.

The Democrats are trying to "spin" this so that McCain looks bad. First they tried to say there is no need for him to come, a deal had been reached when that was just a lie. When it was clear what McCain had said was true, they then tried to say he put a 'monkey wrench' into negotiations, when that turns out to be a lie, too.

Leaders lead. Obama is not the leader of your party, even though he is your presidential nominee. He has shown clearly that he is not READY to lead. They'll call him if they need him. It seems to me all the parties involved (he and the leadership of the Democrats) have admitted that has no influence in the negotiations.

McCain could have answered those hits easily, as could anyone who was aware of the facts. It was not wise for him to address them at that time, due to the negotiations that were going on. He again, put his country first. Obama did not.

I think McCain did a great job.

Ok, if you want to go that route, I would feel much better having JIM WEBB as commander-in-chief than McCain if you feel you NEED someone who served our country. Not a 72 year old man who is just a 72 year old heartbeat away from having a ditsey pompom girl from Alaska!
