My overall impression was that McCain exuded Nixon, which is kind of appropriate because the Republican Party has never gotten over Nixon. Nixon's acolyte is currently our wonderful VP, and his secretary of state is a key McCain advisor.
That was the low point in the debate for me. Not only did he not know the soldier's name, but he wasn't even wearing a bracelet. He sounded like a grade school child trying to "one up" a classmate.
McCain got HIS bracelet from the mother of a dead soldier! I think Obama was lying about his, since he didn't have one, and couldn't remember the name of a dead soldier on the spot.
