Since there are a number of threads about this debate, I'm pasting my remarks rather than type them over and over. I haven't read this thread yet, but here is my take on the debate:

He didn't look at a bracelet because he didn't have one. He looked at his notes where he had obviously written down the name of a dead soldier he could use for political points if the need arose. The "I have a bracelet too" line seemed phony and juvenile.
I agree with you. I think if the debate happened after the decision had been made on what to do with the current financial crisis we would have seen an entirely different debate. I was disappointed to see Obama try to point fingers of blame right in the middle of a time when there are tense negotiations, and both sides are going to (hopefully) have to bend in order to save our economy. When you are in the middle of negotiation on something so serious, it is unwise to alienate the other side further. I found that to be naive and frankly a little dangerous. There are plenty of fingers to point at both sides, but doing so now - between the most important players - is not wise, imo.

He does a better job then most commentators on Fox.
The "I have a bracelet too" line seemed phony and juvenile.
I think McCain's entire campaign seems phony & juvenile.
Polls are also RANDOM opionions....no one called me.
Mc Cain also got dogtags from a mother of a dead soldier.
They both wrotes notes as the other talked.
I wouldn't worry too much about the debate.
