i think Obama's "stuttering" is a sign of humility. I mean, I am passionate about a lot of things, and I'm very outgoing, but a lot of the time, when i'm speaking in public or to 5 or more people, i tend to stutter too, and for absolutely no reason. So, it's not just him and i don't think that should be any reflection on his character or beliefs.
I believe he said he would freeze "new" spending. I think that is wise. That's the least he can do. He also said he would cut spending, and cut pork. That was pretty clear, and is sorely needed. Obama wouldn't cut anything. In order to accomplish his radical new spending proposals, he will have to raise taxes on everyone or not be able to make good on most of his vote buying promises.
Also, about PORK. Look at the mess congress for the last 30 years has made! Frankly I don't want congressmen who have to buy votes. That's all pork is - how much bacon your rep can bring to you. I would rather have people representing me that didn't have to buy my vote. In 26 years McCain has continued to be re-elected and HAS NEVER asked for ANY pork for his state.
I think Obama's minor stuttering did not get in the way of his points at all. He was spot on most of the night. McCain was off on tangents like earmarks, or he was narrow focused on the most recent escalation in Iraq rather than talking about our overall strategy in the Middle East.
ITA. I just knew that it would be brought up on here. And, last night I realized that I tend to stutter when I'm speaking. And last night, I kept thinking how well Obama was speaking. I was proud of my boy last night.
I think it boils down to personality types (and what one values and admires in a personality). I'm with you....I prefer someone who thinks things through before speaking rather than impulsively shooting from the hip. Decisive is good....but in the end, I prefer that those

Polls are also RANDOM opionions....no one called me.
"Is Obama "your boy"?"
Is McCain "your boy"? Is Palin "your girl"?
