I understood the context. My question stands. Choose to answer or not answer as you like.

"It may have scored him political points last night, but harmed the negotiation process"

LOL! Who dramatically "suspended" his campaign for a day (but didn't really) to run down to D.C. and throw a wrench in a deal that was about to be inked. McCain thereby destabilized our markets on Friday. We really didn't need that. Plus, McCain did his best to steal the spotlight from the bipartisan focus on the bailout negotiations. His whole added drama about whether or not he could multitask enough to show up at the debate was a political farce, as Sopal called it.

"I don't believe that either candidate loves his country any more or less than the other."

Well, McCain's campaign seems to be trying to raise a heckuva a lot more questions about Obama in that regard with personal attack ads in the battleground states.

Last night, McCain repeated his charge that he is the only candidate qualified to be President. So far his decisions in picking neophyte Palin and his erratic conduct during this economic crisis seem to indicate the opposite. But it wouldn't be the first time the Republicans accused others of their own faults . . .

"Can you imagine McCain's reaction if somebody cuts him off in traffic?"

At least one Senator on his side of the aisle said a few years ago that McCain is emotionally unfit to be President. I wonder, given his erratic behavior these past few weeks, his picking neophyte Palin, his flailing at Putin over Georgia, and all his anger last night in that video you linked to.

"One of the candidates puts his own self interest first. The other puts the country first time and again."

Yes, and Obama is the one who puts his country first time and time again. The fops (Fox-Republican officials and politicians) trying to claim they place America before themselves is a hoot. Just look at all the greed, corruption and crooks among them. You've got Stevens, Vitter and Craig, no less than three disgraced Republican Senators clawing at power despite their being under indictment, admitting to illegal acts, and/or saying they would resign and then changing their minds. You've got Abramoff and the most widespread systematic corruption of a party going all the way up to numerous meetings with Bush present (Bush lied about them not occurring) and fop members of Congress. You've got the whole Foley scandal where the fop leadership, at the top, tried to save a pederast lech to benefit themselves politically. The whole fop thing is a disgrace. They've got to go.

"Deep-seated anger is a character trait that's not easy to get rid of at age 72"

I wouldn't say people that age are not able to change. McCain changed. He ran a more principled, decent, truly maverick campaign in 2000. When he lost to Bush he flirted with siding with the Democrats and then flipped to become the uber-Bush. He's so bad that even Karl Rove has called him a liar, and Rove was trying to help McCain when he said it!

McCain of old would not vote for new evil McCain. No way. No how.

Let the record reflect that is all you have to say. I'm happy with that.
