>>OMG. You guys, they memorize scripts before the debate. They rehearse, and they have pre-written answers which they practice for all the questions. Do you guys really think they come up with that stuff on the spot????<<
They rehearse their talking points and memorize statistics and anecdotes to share, and I'm sure they go over possible questions they anticipate, but they don't know the questions ahead of time. Memorizing a script comes off as talking from a script, not honestly answering a question (see: Sarah Palin being interviewed).
Anyway, the debate mostly settled in my mind that I really like Jim Lehrer.
I agree, it's a HUGE gimmick. Tell me, who brought it up first at the debate? Who consistantly brings it up in close to every speech he's made? If that's not "using a military member" for personal gain, I don't know what is.
For the record, I've heard Obama mention the names of soldiers and military families in speeches plenty of times. I've heard him praise the job they are doing and discussing the types of sacrifices they make countless times so I don't agree that he does not care.

I do agree on that however, but this entire bracelet

This reminds me of a story my Dh told me about his Social Studies teacher. This teacher used to get bent out of shape when a student pronounced Italy "I" Tally. Or say "I" Tallians. LOL.

That's a personal opinion, nothing more. While you have every right to have a personal opinion, it doesn't make it true.

Obama pronounces Pakistan and Taliban the way I do. It never occurred to me that some might find
