Commentators pointing out how McCain never looked at Obama, seemed to be looking for a fight, kept saying Obama doesn't understand - then Obama looked at McCain, looked at camera and spoke to people at home, and showed McCain over and over that he DOES understand.

The bracelet - loved how Obama retorted "I have my own bracelet",

>>> I just thought it would be more stately if McCain could've debated without NEGATIVE name calling.

I didn't see any "name calling." It's appropriate to challenge your opponent's position on issues, which both did, but it would also be a disservice to the American people for McCain to fail to point out the reason for some of Obama's more dangerous positions...which were born out of naivete, ignorance of the facts and simple inexperience.

>>> Surely you don't think that he is so perfect that Obama couldn't come up with a single negative thing to say about him.

I'm sure Obama could childishly call him "old" or something ridiculous like that, but there was nothing legitimate (such as Obama's naivete or inexperience) that Obama could reasonably confront McCain with.

>>> yeah, riiiiiigggggghhhhhtttt - what ever gets you through the night. I don't want to burst your bubble but lots of opinions in that post - as my daughter would say 'whatever'.

Maybe your daughter should post...she might be able to put up a more convincing argument. ; )

Except that I have taught her NOT to try to argue with a brick wall - it is usually seen as a sign of mental impairment.

so if Obama calls him old (which would be legitimate) it would be childish but when McCain calls Obama naive (which would be legitimate, in your opinion) he is just plain right?

It doesn't matter, I really admire your devotion to McCain. I just hope that if he gets in he doesn't bust your bubble.

.....which he then declined to re-sponsor when it was reintroduced.

Now THAT'S Maverick-y, baby!

Have to agree with you on this one: it IS the facts which prove you both "right"....and incorrect.
