McCain sure lost the debate

Commentators pointing out how McCain never looked at Obama, seemed to be looking for a fight, kept saying Obama doesn't understand - then Obama looked at McCain, looked at camera and spoke to people at home, and showed McCain over and over that he DOES understand.

The bracelet - loved how Obama retorted "I have my own bracelet",

Yep, that was pretty much my take, too....problem for McCain is, he didn't NEED a draw on this debate, he needed to WIN, decisively, which he - by all accounts - did NOT do. This was his "home turf," supposedly: foreign policy. This was the area where he is supposedly preeminent (the reality of that is - obviously - nothing near the myth), and thus, anything short of a decisive victory for McCain will be viewed as something of a defeat. If this "inexperienced upstart" - which is what the McCain campaign has been trying for over a year to portray Senator Obama as - could fight McCain to a draw, or even defeat him slightly, on the one issue on which McCain is supposed to have the big advantage, it kind of shoots holes in the "inexperienced" argument, don't it?

And GRUMPY! Honestly, with all the times he said "Senator Obama doesn't seem to understand....", I swear I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd added "sonny" or "get off my lawn!" or "whippersnapper" to one of the ends of his rants.

Well to be fair it is probably hard to make a 72 year old look young when he is standing next to a younger man who looks younger than his age! McCain should get his money back on that makeup job!

You know, if actions speak louder than words, and a picture is worth a thousand words, then here's a video which is worth more than a truckload of prevarications about what a mavericky, fiscally-prudent guy McCain - or Bush - or the GOP, for that matter - is:

John McCain, the Fundamental Deregulator

Oh yes he did refute it, numerous times when he had the chance to speak again.

I didn't see it that way at all. Obama was trying to be nice and not condesending by saying on what points he agreed with McCain. Heck,

This is why this "voted with so and so" 90% of the time doesn't phase me,you would EXPECT that they would vote with their party most of the time, disagreeing on only a few issues. The reason that McCain voted with(supported) Bush 90%of the time seems to be an issue, is because Bush whether you want to agree or not, has left the American public a lot to be desired.

SO WHAT? if he said Ah??? McCain kept saying I know, I've been there, is there any record of this we can see? "I know how" he really kept this up and it really made him look like a fool. do we have proof he's "been there"?
