McCain's condesending manner

Boy McCain irritates me!

His condescending manner towards Obama has always been a huge turn off for me.  He displayed the same disrespect during the entire debate.  Every time he said "Obama doesn't understand" I cringed - because Obama does understand.  Instead of acknowledging they differ on an issue Mccain condescends in a cheap shot at trying to get America think Obama just doesn't have the know how to run the country.

Obama looked like a man of great integrity at that debate.  Not only did he know his stuff, his integrity shined through each time he acknowledged when McCain was right & and when they disagreed he said "we differ on this issue".

McCain looked like some kind of snotty rich kid on the playground - He couldn't even look @ Obama - what was that all about?.  He repeated "Obama doesn't understand".  And if he gave Obama credit for anything I must have missed it.  And what is with the eye blinking every 2 seconds?  It makes McCain look nervous.

And for those of you who will say this stuff shouldn't matter....that we should be listening to the issues:  I do listen to the issues & I'm still with Obama.  He appears to get the issues I'm concerned with much more than McCain does - and Obama is going in the direction I want to go in.  McCain does not appear to be any kind of "Maverick" to me - to me he's a stubburn condesending man who refuses to give credit unless you are on his side.

I disagree with most everything that McCain stands for.  The condescending manner is the icing on the cake, and Palin is the cherry on the top.

Looks like McCain even takes after Bush with that smirk - reminds me of a retired used car salesman...

I agree that McCain does have a condescending attitude. But not only that McCain appeared worried while debating Obama, like he was terrified.

I don't much care for the nose in the air look from Obama, either.

Interestingly, that is what dh said too (he was in the US this week). Now dh is a conservative and up in years, but his main reaction was that McCain was condescending and to dh the condescension smelled of racism. Especially since, still according to dh, Obama is so clearly more intelligent and knowledgeable.
