Just saw a new McCain ad.  It is blaming Obama for this new bill  and implying that he and Harry Reid are to blame for the new bill that Bush wanted passed.  It's all their fault that taxes will go up.  I just wondered how long it would be till McCain pulled this.  He is so............blaah!

I doubt that Obama has time to read post here.

McCain was sitting in Ohio when the vote took place.

Obama just doesn't know what to do. Things are a sinking and he can't push for his increase in social spending.

Why should he be there when the Senate wasn't voting?

First, I don’t hate all Republicans when I make this comment, I thought Regan was an exceptional President and I love what Arnold is doing in CA.

Where was Obama when his "rescue package" failed? Too far away to get the additional 10 votes he needed, from the 93 Dems who voted against the bill. Leader indeed.

The committee had 2 republicans and two democrats on it, Obama was NOT one of them! LOL, the blame doesn't lie anywhere near Obama's shoulders. If Obama should get blamed for anything, it's for sitting on the sidelines, and not doing anything. The failure is because the republican party doesn't really support McCain. He thought he had the votes all tied up. He was wrong. He got no votes from his home state...how embarrassing for him.

I do not remember anything about Obama rushing back to the capital to save the country.

>>> When did it become Obama's rescue plan?

When he took over the White House meeting and later took credit for the plan.

>>> He has said that he is not pleased with the plan, but will vote on it to move things along.

A hand-off...kind of typical for a neophyte out of his depth. He had the same suggestion when the Russians invaded Georgia.

>>> This deal was hammered out between the WH, Paulson, Bernanke, and both parties in Congress. The bill failed in the House (not the Senate where either senator had any pull).

You're naive if you don't think that the Presidential candidates have pull with the House.
