Dr. King given the finger?

Almost all blacks are voting for the black candidate even though Martin Luther King said not to judge people by the color of their skin. If blacks are going to ignore the main points of Dr. King's talking points, why have a Martin Luther King holiday? I know in advance that leftists are going to come on here and say that they are voting for him because of the issues, but that's a lie because an overwhelming majority will vote for a candidate they agree with - not 95 percent!

I didn't miss your point, if the Republicans don't want to reach out, why would Blacks vote Republican???

You're all talking around the issue. Answer the central question. Why should we have a MLK holiday when blacks themselves are judging based on skin color; which is exactly what MLK said not to do. I think the MLK holiday should be removed from America's holiday agenda immediately. Blacks are proving that what MLK said was just "feel good" talk for blacks.

Since when is MLK's birthday just a black holiday?

Here, let me help you; these things can be SO hard to find these days.

Ma, whenever ya see a cop beatin' a guy

Wherever a hungry new born baby cries

Wherever there's a fight against the blood and hatred in the air

Look for me ma'

I'll be there

Wherever somebody's strugglin' for a place to stand

For a decent job or a helpin' hand

Wherever somebody is strugglin' to be free

Look in their eyes ma,

You'll see me!

I say let's dump the MLK holiday. If blacks don't obey his central message, why should anyone else. Let's face it, this holiday was just put in to make blacks feel good.

Maybe if John McCain gets in, he'll do just that, since he didn't

Here we go again with the "If blacks don't obey his central message."

I think the reason Blacks prefer Obama has more to do with the economy than with skin color. McCain's tax plan favors the wealthy, and Obama's favors those at lower income levels.

Here's a U.S. Census Bureau link to support what follows:
http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/income/histinc/ineqtoc.html

When the population of each race is divided into fifths based on 2007 household income, the upper limit of the first four fifths, and the lower limit of the highest fifth are as follows, in thousands of dollars:

Black: 12, 26, 43, 71, 126
White: 23, 43, 68, 106, 189
(non-hispanic)

Like me, I think most Blacks would like to see a tax policy that redistributes the wealth, one that will stimulate consumerism.

McCain's strategy of stuffing the pockets of the wealthy, stimulates SPECULATION, and we end up in crises like the current one.
