fleur... run the numbers.

Your employer pays, probably around $10,000 per employee for insurance.

You recognize an additional $10,000 as income.

Not really. Currently you can deduct up to 7.5% of your adjusted gross for health spending. That means that people who have adjusted gross around 66K and up, currently can deduct more than 5K. A refundable tax credit is only really a boon for people who pay no tax, since the tax credit may put them in negative tax territory, meaning they would actually make money with this scheme. For everyone else, this is either a wash or a negative.

Then again, with McCain's scheme even low-income people may find themselves in a paying bracket once their employer-provided health plans get taxed. If you make 120K a year, an extra 10K will likely not make a huge difference, but if you make 24K, I imagine that an extra 10K added to your adjusted gross at at tax time might change your return. But, I do not know where the breaking points for brackets are in the US tax code.

Sean Hannity is doing a special 1 hour show called EXPOSE: All of Barack Obama's Radical Connections. It will be on FOX News Sun. 9 pm EST. I'm sure none of BO's followers will watch it, because Hannity is doing it. They can't even fathom that he could be right. It doesn't matter how much proof is out there that BO is waist deep in corruption and radicalism, the left will keep their blinders on hoping for some imaginary "change". They really don't want to hear any troublesome facts that might complicate their decision.

Here's a preview of EXPOSE: http://www.foxnews.com/hannitysamerica/index.html#

My understanding is that ACORN is a bunch of politically correct crooks who want to register illegal aliens and dead people and other unqualified voters.

Yes , ACORN has been found guilty of voter fraud in numerous jurisdictions and is currently under investigation in many others.

And I laugh at the term "community organizer".

Do you, now?

This guy was probably one of the consummate (as well as one of the original) "community organizers." I'm sure he'd be interested to know you "laugh" at the term.
