Why do you think that if she does read news sources daily, she can't or won't name even one?

I read my news exclusively from RSS feeds. No dead-tree editions for me. Although I do have a subscription to Press Display, in case I need to refer to the actual physical image of any given newspaper (because they don't put all of their content into the online edition).

But I could tell you - with probably only one or two omissions - which RSS feeds I read: there's the NYT, the AJC (my local paper), the WaPo, the Washington Times (because I'm an amateur masochist, and plus, it's always a good idea to stay on top of the latest wingnut memes as they're being hatched), the Guardian of London, Ha'aretz, Le Monde.....um....the Beeb, reuters, uh....now's where I'm gonna forget a few of 'em. Oh yeah - at least one of the McClatchy papers, usually the Miami Herald.

Now, I don't read each of those cover-to-cover every day, but I most definitely scan through 'em before hitting "mark all as read." And I think that even under the most extreme pressure, I could probably remember most of that same list I just gave you. Sarah Palin either

  1. Can't remember which papers & newsmagazines she reads,

  2. Doesn't read ANY, or

  3. The contents of her actual reading list (as far as news) is so obviously wingnutty that even she understands it wouldn't be such a hot idea for her to actually say "I read PowerTools, RedState, InstaPutz, FreeRepublic, AtlasJuggsShrugs, Michelle Malkin, Hugh Hewitt and the local PTA circular."

None of those possibilities is particularly encouraging.

It will during the debate. That's what they're for. "I choose not to answer," whether explicit or implicit, will NOT fly.
