Never - ever - have I heard more a vacuous, vapid response to a question from a major candidate for public office:

Please, people. Please. You cannot put this bimbo in the White House.

Yes you could say you are afraid of Obama - I expect the right is very afraid of Obama and the change he represents - doesn't worry me. At the very least with Obama/Biden we get two intelligent, educated people who know the CONSTITUTION - remember that little scrap of paper that the founding fathers wrote up to protect the good people of these United States from the mistreatment they had suffered under a king? Of course someone who would support Bush, who said a dictatorship was easier, I don't expect you to understand the importance of actually knowing what it says in the constitution.
And yes Palin is accused of abusing the power she had as mayor as well as governor - you don't have to believe me - I am familiar with your unwillingness to accept anything a 'liberal' posts so I will save myself the keystrokes, besides I see others have already posted in reply to that issue. If you don't check their sources you are not more likely to check mine.
I am not wearing rose colored glasses - anyone who was against Bush through even one election, not to mention two, is very aware of the damage done to our country both at home and abroad. The last thing we, or the rest of the world, need is a 'maverick' who 'shoots from the hip' sitting too close to the red button. Obama may not know everything, but he has shown a willingness to consult with people who know more than he does and to consider their opinions - something I haven't seen from Bush/McCain/Palin they don't even seem to be aware of what they don't know. As for being willing to talk to our enemies - personally I think that is a good thing - I don't know what kind of preconditions he will have - just as you do not - you are merely speculating and misreading his statements. I do know that when you have a disagreement with someone NOT talking can make the situation worse - but I guess the hawkish people of the world thrive on that particular kind of drama. Sadly once we reach war many innocents die.
<<"Palin is accused of abusing the power she had as mayor as well as governor">>
Obama/Biden/McCain have been "accused" of many things here and elsewhere........... does that make the "accusations" factual?
Djie
<<Yes....but everyone would wonder what on earth you were talking about. He hasn't been in Washington like Biden and McCain, but compared to Palin, he's got the experiences of a lifetime.>>
Only those with the rose colored glasses would be clueless when the reality is presented.

Sorry..but Obama/Biden are talking about CLASS WARFARE...please show me in the constitution where that is stated?
((Well you are right on one point - we are afraid of Palin - but not for the reason you think. If you were looking at her objectively you would be afraid of her too. She has demonstrated she is willing to abuse power, and then admitted during the debate that she would like to expand the powers of the vice president beyond what power hungry Cheney has already done. She has not shown a curiosity about history and that is dangerous if we want to avoid mistakes of the past. She is uninformed about the constitution, foreign affairs - beyond what has been crammed into her head for the debate - and she has already termed herself a 'pitbull' at a time that we need to be shoring up or position in the world. Diplomacy will not have a place in a McCain/Palin administration - and that is dangerous for us all. So yes we are scared and if you could see the forest for the trees you would be too. ))
Your post was so fabulous that I had to repost it in its entirety! You beautifully articulated
While there certainly are suitable for the blogosphere wingnuttia accusations about Palin out there (witness the thread which questions whether she is the mother of her youngest child), she actually IS under investigation for abuse of power.
Class Warfare = ROTFLMAO!!! Only a right wing nut believes we are going to have class war fare - just what kind of weapons shall be issued for this particular war - Oh I know 700 Trillion dollars????? Give me a break.
74% of Wasilla - what it that about 4000 people? Honestly the I think you can probably find that many people shopping at the Mall of America on a slow day. Governor of a state with a surplus? How about she moves to say Alabama and shows her executive skills in a state that has a staggering economic problem - then MAYBE I would think she can handle the US economic crisis. So far all I see is a 'hockey mom' who has to stick to talking points and non answers. None of my children played hockey, but I have been a soccer mom for 15 years and in that time I never met a mom, or a dad or that matter, at a soccer game with sufficient skills to run the country. Funny thing is this week, the soccer moms are simply talking about what a train wreck she is - but you go ahead and keep supporting her. As my grandmother use to say 'there's a lid for every pot' so you just keep sticking around with moose stew.
