Never - ever - have I heard more a vacuous, vapid response to a question from a major candidate for public office:

Please, people.  Please.  You cannot put this bimbo in the White House.

I think it is just more right wing rhetoric. The part I don't understand is who is supposed to be at war? Since the middle class ends up carrying the burden all the time it seems we would be happy to get a break. So maybe the poster thinks the rich are going to go to war with the middle class? In that case we have them out numbered - other than that I don't really understand his reference.

>>> This isn't about the average "joe six-pack" or "hockey mom". lol. This is a governor of a state.

It's an absurd notion to say a Governor who's family has been threatened by a cop can't take action simply because they're the Governor. I think it's the responsibility of anyone, mom or Governor, to properly address personal knowledge of a "bad cop." The issue shouldn't be that Palin pressed for his dismissal, but whether or not the charges had substance.

>>> An elected official that took an oath to not abuse or misuse her office in any way. Even to exact revenge on a "bad"guy, who by the way, was not the one told to stop harassing this "bad guy.

If a Governor were aware that a police officer was making death threats and intimidating citizens, it's not an abuse of power for that Governor to become involved in the investigation or in voicing a concern considering the trooper's employment status. I'm sure that the Governor of CA weighed in during the Rodney King debacle or the beating of illegals that made headlines a year or two ago.

>>> No, the judge told Sarah to stop harassing him, and she ignored that judge! Just like she and her husband are ignoring the state issued subpoaena! Just like Rove.

It's funny to see libs try to connect the "unconnectable" dots. The only thing you missed is ultimately blaming everything on Bush. LOL!

>>> Some day soon, apologists for McCain and Palin ought to take a deep breath and wonder why they are constantly blaming the media, the moderator and whoever else for the words, ideas that are coming directly from the mouths of these two candidates. These events that prompt this supposed "bias" because they were reported happened.

Uh...er...un...but...uh...er...um...but... Considering what a gaffe-fest your candidates are, we're more than happy to accept the words our candidates utter. LOL! But as far as media bias is concerned...it's pretty obvious when you do a side by side comparison of the kinds of questions Gibson put to Obama and those he put to Palin. And in the same week, Couric played "gotcha" with Palin, but never said a word when Biden played time-machine with Roosevelt and the invention of the television. Favoritism? Or was Katie too stupid about history to know Biden was wrong when it was staring her in the face?

>>> In this election, like a couple before it, the campaigns of both sides have distorted the record of the other. How do we know this? The wonder of this age of communication. The ability to play back in living color and sound, if you happened not to catch it live, exactly what people say, how and where they said it, coupled with the ability to look at past voting records, legislation and the like due to the Freedom of Information Act and the speed of the internet.

A big plus for Obama is that you can't go back and look at a record that doesn't exist.

Did Obama say there were 57 states, he most assuredly did. You can list others if you choose. I could list dozens of such gaffes by McCain.

Can you invent close associations with racists, felons and terrorists? We don't have to invent them, Obama really has them...and they speak volumes about his character and judgment.

>>> And then there are others that are not gaffes. You can supply Obama's and Biden's; I'll supply a couple of McCain's. Palin's are just too easy, so I won't even post hers.

You mean Biden's outright lies during the debate. Feel free to post Palin's, we'll need another post to list all of Biden's.

>>> This is just one of the many, many clips on McCain's the economy is fundamentally strong quotes - this one from back in the spring before all hell broke loose. Reality was important then too. There are countless others, but this one with the accompanying figures back in the spring is one of the most important indicators that McCain may not have been living in the same reality as the rest of us. This is the MOST important in showing McCain's huge "disconnect" with reality.

I'm sorry that McCain doesn't have a "soundbite" mentality or see the world through propaganda glasses. First, McCain was trying to instill confidence in the American people, unlike Obama who tries to instill fear. The fact is that the FUNDAMENTALS of our economy were strong when McCain made those statements. Unemployment was low, inflation was low, trade was strong and the economy was growing. Those are the fundamentals of the economy. That the economy has taken a hit due to poor lending practices, doesn't diminish the truthfulness of McCain's overall statement.

And in addressing this "crisis," the actions of each candidate are the most telling. McCain dropped everything and headed to Washington to help broker a deal...country first...while Obama said "call me if you need me"...Obama before country. Sadly typical.

** McCain dropped everything and headed to Washington to help broker a deal...country first.**

And then went back to politics as usual when this 'deal' went south - to resume the campaign he had never actually suspended. Coincidentally putting out an ad blaming Obama for the 'failure' of the bill BEFORE it had actually failed! Yeah a real 'county first' kind of guy! What's in your kool aid Doctor Liviingston?

>>> No, Walt Monegan did NOT say that, specifically. In fact, he's said just the opposite. What he said was that neither the governor nor her husband or any of the numerous aides she had talk to Monegan about it were unsubtle enough to directly ORDER or SUGGEST outright "fire him."

Thank you...case closed. Considering the egregious nature of the offenses, it seems pretty obvious that if Palin wanted Wooten fired, she would have said so. She didn't.

>>> But Monegan has also said explicitly that Todd Palin, and Sarah - both through aides and personally, did indeed utilize subtler but pervasive pressure to that end.

You mean...GASP!...that they might have been a little peeved that a police officer who used his position to intimidate their family and made death threats got only a 5-day suspension? AND they might have expressed that disappointment? Heavens to Besty! What a horrible abuse of power!

Hey, here's another horrible abuse of power...Obama got a million dollars of taxpayer money for his wife's company. Let's investigate! LOL!

How a country is overthrown by Communism by an ex-Communist high official.

He warns U.S is fast becoming Socialist and fast on the road to Communism. He tells us what must be done.

It is long, but well worth the listen- especially toward the end.

Listen to this closely, if you dare, as McCain makes a further fool of himself and how he responds when's he's asked about what "he" said.
