Never - ever - have I heard more a vacuous, vapid response to a question from a major candidate for public office:

Please, people.  Please.  You cannot put this bimbo in the White House.

I agree with you about age in general. The presidency ages people, without exception. There was concern about McCain today, possibly having a stroke or more likely (if anything) a TIA. He became confused when leaving the stage, not knowing which way to go. Apparently, some people noticed his face twitching only minutes before this happened. Some physicians have called for him to release his medical records, which he refuses to do. I don't know if anything happened to him or not, but I do know campaigning is very stressful. Regardless of age, the VP candidate is of vital concern.

Statiscally a man of 45 and a man of 72 (no matter whát their personal medical history says) have an equal chance of being killed in say a robbery,

Palin has a brain, but it is just not full of the gov't officially things that we expect from a candidate. lol. I have to admit that watching her flounder is really difficult. She does not belong anywhere near the WH or gov't. She is too incurious to be an elected official. Her thoughts are very stagnant, and she thinks we are all too stupid to see and hear that she doesn't have a CLUE about what she is talking about. I can't stand people that think they are the smartest people in the room when they CLEARLY are not. lol.
